Approval of academic achievements

Academic achievements from a former programme at the University of Hamburg or another national or international institution can be recognised in your present programme.

Please make a formal application to the examination board of your present programme. Fill in the data at the top of the form and the leftmost column ("achievement") of the table online. You can make suggestions in the second column ("to be approved for") of the table. The decision is made by the examination board. Please add proofs of achievements and informations about the contents of the achievements to be recognised.

Please submit the application together with the proofs of achievements and the information to the coordinator of your programme in the Studienbüro Geowissenschaften. If the achievements to be recognised have already been entered in STiNE, a hardcopy of your performance account is accepted as a proof of achievement. Other achievements have to be proved by copies of documents such as reports, transcripts of records or other certificates, normally with a stamp and signature. The authenticity of the copies has to be proved by presenting the original document.

After the examination board has decided on your application, the corresponding entries will be made in STiNE, such that you can see them in your performance account. If your application was dismissed, you will get an official note.
