Karl H. Ditze Prize

Target goup: degree holders and PhD students

Prize amount: EUR 2,000 for a degree thesis; EUR 3,000 for a doctoral thesis

Application process

• Applicants must be nominated. All teaching staff from the respective University departments may nominate candidates.

• Nominations must include the following documents: one copy of the nominated thesis; the nominee's CV plus contact details; an expert evaluation from the thesis advisor.

• Each year two departments from the School of Humanities and the Department of Education will be asked to submit their nominations.
  

In 2010 nominees from the Department of European Languages and Literatures (SLM II), the Department of History, and the Department of Cultural History and Contemporary Culture received awards. In 2011 the Foundation awarded theses from the Department of Protestant Theology and the Department of Asia-Africa Studies. In 2012 the Department of Education, the Department of Languages, Literature and Media and the Department of European Languages and Literatures were invited to put forward  nominations. In 2013 we welcome submissions from the departments first mentioned. The next call will follow in the first quarter of 2013.
