Professional Background

  • Since 2010 project manager in of the project “Towards a Holistic Conception of Life: Epistemic Presumptions and Socio-cultural Implications of Systems Biology”(THCL).
  • Since November 2006 employed as research fellow at the Research Centre for Biotechnology, Society and the Environment in the subproject IV Aetiology and Prevention: competing hypotheses on the relation between internal and external factors of "Metabolic Syndrome". (BMBF –  Research Network “The Preventive Self: An Emerging Form of Life“).
  • 2005 – 2006 employed as research fellow at the GKSS-Research Centre Geesthacht in the Institute for Coastal Research www.gkss.de.
  • 2003 – 2005 employed as research fellow at the University of Nottingham at the Institute for the Study of Genetics, Biorisks and Society  www.nottingham.co.uk/iss.
  • 2003 employed as a guest scientist at the University of Radboud, Nijmegen in the Centre for German Studies.
  • 1997 – 2002 employed as research-associate at the University of Hamburg in the Institute for Romance Studies as well as in the Centre for Media and Media Culture.
  • 1989 – 1996 completed undergraduate study in Romanic Studies and Art History at the University of Hamburg as well as the Université de Sorbonne, Paris.
