The Department of Economic Politics of the Institute for Foreign Trade and Economic Integration undertakes research in up-to-date economic questions from the area of international economic relationships and areas next to it. The actual research is made in:

• Changes in Stuctures, unemployment and growth / Connections and international comparisons
• dynamic models of exchange rate development prior to currency unions
• international currency policy

Our main target is show problematic developments in an early stage and to work out suggestions to avoid them. To archive this we try to maintain close contact to politics and economics.
