Subproject 4:
Scientific
evaluation concepts for "multifunctional agriculture"
Several agri-environmental models for evaluating land use
systems and cultivation
strategies are analysed in order to identify utilisation and objective
conflicts, to reconstruct scientific overall concepts and to
choose an evaluation model for further research. The evaluation system
MODAM developed at the Leibniz Centre of Agricultural Landscape and
Land Use Research (ZALF),
Müncheberg, is used to determine possible ecological effects caused by
measures of
the new agricultural policy and the recent CAP reform applied to an
exemplary
chosen region (Ostprignitz-Ruppin/ Brandenburg). Furthermore, it will
be
estimated which amount financial allowances should have in case of
conventional quality production, organic farming or renewable resource
production in order to provide effective incentives for farmers.
