The Central eLearning Office was established in the University management within the framework of the inter-faculty eLearning structural project eLBase1 in July, 2008. Our guiding aim is the sustainable integration of digital media in all core processes of teaching and studying at the University of Hamburg. We aim to effectively implement the University of Hamburg's eLearning strategy as formulated in 2006. eLearning opportunities should be viewed as part and parcel of the student life cycle in regard to the curriculum and exam regulations.

The eLearning Office of the Faculty of Law was established within the framework of the eLearning structural project eLBase1 in June 2009. It aims to support and advise the Faculty's teaching staff and students in eLearning matters.
The eLearning Working Group has accompanied and supervised the introduction of the eLearning Platform at the UKE. The Group's key tasks include support, programming individual solutions, testing new functions and exploring new ways of implementing the Platform as well as providing advice on how to deploy eLearning.
The Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences' eLearning Office provides teaching staff with information, advising services, support and qualifications in eLearning. In 2008, it was founded as a task force by the dean's office and it pursues the goal of formulating impulses for the methodological and medial development of course offerings. It also acts as an on-site reference to support the use of available services and to promote eLearning-specific skills among faculty members.
The eLearning Office of the Faculty of Education, Psychology and Human Movement and the faculty's Multimedia-Studio provide basic digital and media services to support traditionally-attended courses. They also offer advising services and help instructors realize ideas in the field of eLearning and blended learning. Teaching staff, in particular, can receive advice and support, but students can also enjoy these services in seminars and courses. Additionally, the *mms-eLB is the hub of communication and coordination among members of the faculty, the Regional Computer Center and other university institutions.

The eLearning Office of the Faculty of Humanities (GEIWI) was created in July 2009 within the framework of the eLearning structural project eLBase1. It provides comprehensive advising services and support to instructors and students who want to integrate eLearning into teaching and studying. While it informs, advises and qualifies teaching staff in particular to use digital media in traditionally-attended courses, it also supports students. These services seek to anchor eLearning as a regular and high-quality part of teaching in the faculty.

The eLearning Office of the Faculty of Mathematics, Informatics and Natural Sciences was established in November 2009 within the framework of the eLBASE1 structural project. It provides eLearning information, advising services, support and qualifications to the Faculty's teaching staff and students.
