The Central eLearning Office (ZeB in German) was set up at the executive level of the University of Hamburg within the framework of the inter-faculty eLearning Structural Project eLBase1 in July 2008. Our guiding aim is the sustainable integration of digital media into all core processes of teaching and studying at the University of Hamburg. This means successfully realizing the implementation of the University of Hamburg's eLearning strategy, formulated in 2006, which seeks to integrate eLearning into curricula and exam regulations as an unquestioned part of the student life cycle.
- General advising on the use of eLearning platforms and applications for instructors and students
- Overseeing the MICHeL Service Site and the eLearning support tools for instructors and students
- OLAT training and Adobe Connect training
- Information events on eLearning offers for public events at the University of Hamburg as well as in the faculties and departments as required
- Tendering "Put Your Seminar on the Net" at the University of Hamburg and project guidance
- Implementing the central eLearning project eLBase1 (coordinating and supporting the development of the the participating faculties' decentralized eLearning offices, et al.)
- University-wide and inter-university communication and networking in connection with eLearning
- Coordinating cooperation with the E-Learning Consortium of Hamburg and the Multi Media Kontor of Hamburg
- Coordinating the eExams Project at the University of Hamburg
- Publishing the "Hamburger eLearning-Magazin"
