    eMedia
    The Public and University Library (SUB) provides access to over 1000 different databases from all areas of scholarship, over 5,400 electronic magazines, about 2,300 e-books and over 2,300 dissertations from the University of Hamburg. Subject-specific information and an on-line media catalogue with numerous films, videos and modular media components are also available.

    Photo service
    The Media Skills Center (MCC) photo service digitalizes photos and slides, produces black & white prints, reproduces print material (photos and books), produces slides (production and framing) and enlarges microfilm.

    Graphics and presentations
    To process graphics and create (digital or printed) presentations, the MCC (media skills center) will help you with software support as well as with the production of digital information or printed presentations.

    Lecture2Go is the most comprehensive service for audiovisual recordings of courses and distribution within the framework of research and teaching. The system developed at the University of Hamburg's Regional Computer Center (RRZ) makes it possible to record synchronously both the lecturer and the lecturer's presentation. The recording kit and a camera which includes a radio path to record sound can be borrowed from the Regional Computer Center's media skills center.

    Media workshop
    In the media workshop, you will find well-equipped PC work stations and scanning possibilities for your independent work. If the documents cannot be independently scanned (newspapers, tickets, old prints, etc.) or if you need professional documents printed, the media workshop provides various services related to digital reprography and a small area of micrography.

    Streaming service
    Streaming means the transfer of audio and visual material to the Internet. The MCC (media skills center) has the necessary technology and advises you on the selection of suitable transfer formats.

    Text digitalization
    In order for students and teaching staff in the Faculty of Education, Psychology and Human Movement (EPB) to take advantage of digital texts, the *mms eLearning Office provides a text digitalization service. Book chapters and photocopies, for example, can be sent as e-mail attachments or they can be put onto an eLearning platform as study material.

    Recording courses
    The eLearning Offices of the Faculty ReWi, EPB, WiSo and MIN provide the teaching staff of the Faculty of EPB audio and visual recordings of conferences, guest lectures, lecture series, well-attended lectures and other courses and puts these on-line. The recordings can be made accessible to a limited group of students or research colleagues as well as to a broader public.

    The MCC lets you lease various transportable media components such as camcorders, audio-recording components, microport systems and more.

    Video conferences
    In contrast to telephoning, video conferences also provide images of the participants to all conference partners. Moreover, views of external signal sources can be transmitted (for example, using a documentary camera) and software applications on computers can be communicated to all participants for common processing. To set up video conferences, there are currently two rooms available which can be booked on-line.
