Beschreibung des Studiengangs

The master programme in European and international law offers a unique opportunity to acquire a highly sought-after legal expertise in European, international and Chinese law – within an international and challenging environment.In addition to a broad spectrum of courses on European and international law, an introduction to China's legal system and China's business law will beprovided. Students leave the China-EU School of Law with a well-rounded education in European, international and Chinese law.

Berufliche Perspektiven

Demand for legal professionals, who combine an expertise in European and international law with Chinese legal matters, is rising.International companies active in China are seeking Chinese and European practitioners with cultural competencies and language skills. So far very few lawyers possess such cross-cultural legal expertise.

Studienaufbau

Students are taught about the principles, regulations and procedures of European and international law so as to enable them to understand the functions of law in an economically and politically linked world. Current issues of law and policy receive special emphasis, as do interdisciplinary features such as economic, cultural and historical aspects.International students are introduced to the Chinese legal system with courses on: Chinese legal system and Chinese business law. Thus, students gain a deep insight into Chinese legal culture and tradition as well as the transformation of the Chinese legal
system. Particular focus is given to Chinese business law.

Zulassungsvoraussetzungen

Students must meet the following admissions requirements to be eligible to apply:
• Already obtained a first law degree (LLB, state examination or equivalent) or will definitely obtain a law degree before enrolment
• Proof of English language ability: (1) Native English speaker, (2) Undergraduate studies in English, (3) Minimum score of 100 on the TOEFL or (4) Minimum IELTS 7.0
