On 1 April, Dr. Martin Hecht assumed office as the University's new Kanzler (director of administration and finance). The editors of the UHH Newsletter had a chance to speak with him at the end of March about preparations for his new job, his memories of being a student in Hamburg and his favorite place in the city.

Conflict does not have a good reputation but it happens in even the best of families - and in the workplace. Universität Hamburg has more than 20 advisors in its conflict advising offices to help staff members who find themselves in a conflict situation. In March 2013, they elected their new spokespeople.

International Housing
International Housing provides accommodation services for guest professors at Universität Hamburg. If you are seeking accommodation, you can register for this service. And Hamburg natives who would like to sublet a room or an apartment to a guest professor can also make their offer online. The goal is to provide University guests with suitable housing.
