Program Exchange: Remaining Openings

In a few programs, there are still some openings for winter semester 2010/11. Universität Hamburg is offering an exchange for these openings. Application procedurs begin on 17 Sept. 2010. DSH (German Language Exam for University Entrance) for Winter Semester 2010/11

International students who have been admitted to Universität Hamburg can take the central DSH exam on 21 Sept. 2010 (written) and 20 Sept./1 Oct. (oral). Participation is free.
Please register at: dsh-anmeldung@uni-hamburg.de The DaF Team of the IfGI recommends its DSH mock exam and audio sample of the listening test to prepare in a targeted fashion.

Studiengang M.A. Europastudien

M.A. Europastudien Antalya-Hamburg: Bewerbungsfrist endet am 15.8.2010 The master's program in European Studies offered jointly by Universität Hamburg and the Akdeniz University of Antalya (Turkey) is taking applications until 15 August. The focus of this two-year, bi-lingual program is the Europeanization of economic, social and legal relationship as well as new forms of political and legal regulation in greater Europe with a special emphasis on Turkey. Denkwerk: High School Students, Teachers and Professors in the Humanities Network

With the Denkwerk program, the Robert Bosch Foundation supports partnerships between academics, teachers and high school students in the humanities and social sciences. The goal of the program is introduce pupils and teachers to current research in the humanities and social sciences. Active participation in small research projects familiarizes students with the concerns and methods of the humanities and social sciences, an experience which also provides a basis and orientation for later decisions about university studies. Tip for Graduates with an Interest in (Foreign) Languages

For the first time, the University of Hamburg is offering an opportunity, starting in the summer semester 2009, to pursue a Master's in a "special" language. The Master's program in Sign Language focuses on the visual and spatial sign languages, which have never been offered in Germany as a Master's degree subject in either the languages or humanities.
This program is open to graduates with an interest in languages and the humanities; for further information, click here.
