By order of the University of Hamburg, HafenCity University Hamburg and the University of Fine Arts of Hamburg the Hamburger Volkshochschule offers courses in German as a Foreign Language. These courses are intended for Erasmus students and foreign students of other programmes (UHH, HCU and HfBK).
The German courses are offered at six different levels from A1 to B1. Furthermore the courses are following the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) developed by the European Council.
